Dr. Lalendra K. Sinha was the founder of South Island Medical and a respected leader in the Rockaway Beach medical community. Since establishing the practice in 1971, he has been a pioneer in preventive medicine, combining decades of experience in internal medicine and cardiology to provide exceptional, patient-centered care.

Driven by a belief in long-term health planning and strong doctor-patient relationships, Dr. Sinha built South Island Medical with a focus on accessibility, compassion, and continuity of care. His dedication has made the clinic a trusted healthcare provider for generations of families throughout the Rockaways.

Today, South Island Medical continues to uphold Dr. Sinha’s vision—delivering comprehensive care in a warm and supportive environment, guided by the same principles he set in motion over five decades ago.
